Since our last correspondence, we have been able to purchase our carpet shampooer. We received enough in donations that we could supplement from our budget and make this purchase. Thank you for your part in this purchase. The shampooer will be a great asset to our center. We are now planning for our “Summer Camp Program”, June 11-August 17, 2012. We would like to provide hot lunches again this summer at no cost to the parents. We are seeking donations for this project. The estimated cost is $65.00 a day to feed approximately 40 children. We still have openings for volunteers to fix meals on Wednesday and Friday of each week. It takes about 2 hours each day to prepare the simple meals and clean up the large cooking utensils. If your church, Sunday school class or group would be willing to commit to fix lunch on either of these days for the summer, or one time, please let Sheila or Penny know by calling (540-298-5309).
